If anyone out there has any video footage of Planet 22, and would like to lend it to us, let me know. I have a project I'm working on and would like to make some stuff available in digital format. PM me.

yeah we still need to work on this. I remember a couple of occasions where there was an unauthorized video camera at p22 shows. Its fine to video tape the shows, but I think everything thats recorded should be available to us.
If the video that caleb shot on newyears gets into the wrong hands I will hold Caleb fully reponsible and will prosecute him and all others that are holding and distributing that video the the full extent of the law.

I have the Second DegicankFeest on miniDV, nut it has been trapped int hat format for years due to a lack of funding in the Technology sector. James Has the HighQuality audio for the show, but it was recorded on a Fourtrack, and the Degicank 4 track never made it out of Vermont. I believe it was destroyed by the Green Mountain Boys.
James check to make sure you still have those cassettes, there should be about 6 of them.

James got sniped for not paying rent, the green mountain boys who did in fact destroy the 4-track raided James' tape stash last wedsday. I have DVD of the last real degicankfest where Frank Cank came with the Negative Power Coupling (couplink). www.toysrgus.com/index.php?action=disp_item&item_id=9525I have a "stand alone" dvd burner, I recomend you get one, 80$, works like a simple vcr. One problem, I'm having trouble getting the dvd into mpegs or jpegs or something good to e-mail/post.

I have a stand alone dvd burner. I send the video from camera to dvdrecorder via S-video cable. Unfortunetly the audio output is monophonic so I split it to cover the 2 tracks on the dvd. I've already "digitized" most of my Baby videos and some planet22 videos. I used up my blank dvd's making econos so I'm waiting until I edit down a bunch of degicank videos into a good movie, either 23 minute episodes or one full length film. I'll have a p22 movie first, once I get the historic tapes from Rogan I'll make a great degicank movie (or episodes). The Green mountain boys have all the tapes. Since they destroyed your four track (BTW you are considered the producer for all degicank audio tracks in the folder ewok village studios from "panang power trio" to "Well the four track broke" , I'm not sure how much $ you have earned from this www.negativland.com/albini.html celleher has been the producer from "timebended" all the way til now" ) I only have one tape machine that has variable spped but it is a small hand held recorder. To digitize the audio tracks in question we can use a method I have considered for all of the old archive. Digitize the tape played at slow speed and then spped up in computer. This will in effect increase the tape speed of the source material and theorhetically increase our recording quality and signal to noise ratio.

Well just because Pressing to DVD is not one of my production tecniques, It is essentual that I have the ability to read from DVD, after all it is a preffered medium for mass consumption in our digital society.
you skipped one important issue in your explanation of personal digitization (i think i just made up a word). when you say "camera", what medium is that camera/camcorder? my data is in analog Hi-8, and more importantly the video in question is in MiniDV. looking over my past posts I see that although I properly stated "MiniDV" in my first post, and proceeded to claim Hi-8 as the medium in the second post. I appologize for this inconsistancy

I will check through my files, though i dont know if i have anything of use. I may have been in violation of degicank policies regarding authorized recording devices at some historic shows. I probably failed to purchase a taper's ticket from degicank ticketing i think. Anyway the problem is that most of my video was only shot in order to acquire sound files of the performance, and after i copied the audio to cassette, i deleted the (mostly low quality) video footage. I will investigate however.
