"The idea that it is a world of tooth and claw doesn't work, it doesn't work. It isn't a world of tooth and claw, it's a world of games. And when games get so serious that everybody becomes entirely introverted into the game, he ceases to realize that it is a game but, nevertheless, he is still mixed up in a game."

I know you young guys think this is just a game, but the tape never forgets. I'm prepareing 6/12/02 at the Brewery and in Eli's introduction of the band he says f*** or the "f"-word through the mike right before his brother says "I love you Mel" and sings about 35% of the words to "what is hip" I don't even know why you guys insist on having microphones, remember a couple of weeks ago at the crowbar when the continuity of the set was disturbed since we had an Instrumental pajamas when our play book called for a singing pajamas because there were only enough mikes on stage for J. and eli. I'd like to see if any of our friends here on the message board would give their opinion of the situation...

I too think the microphones are a hilarious thing since you ask for the opinions. However i also think that technology is an excellent thing and one cant have too much gear available in "case" something happens, or needs to happen. Just think what wouldnt have happened had you not carted that hyrocolator to a show or two--those ice cream 'witches would have been just a mess on the floor.
I however dont think things are all a joke, and there is nothing worse than getting caught with a curse word in your mouth on a section of historical tape. One must always act as if their every thought and movement will be amplifed throughout generations to come, thus the trials and travails of rock-stardom and celebrity status. Now you've learned your lesson Eli, id think.
Hi guys! Welcome to the uno party!!
