you must be talking about the car registration song story. the story was just reinacted and recorded in my bedroom so you could have listen. seeing as how i had a hard time telling it that nite: www.chowderssoup.com/fieldrecording/i won't keep the link to the .mp3 up for too long on a count a it's 15 megs big and my host might get pissed over all the bandwidth. so if you want to listen more than once it's best to save rather than going back later cause it may not be there. thanks for remembering the song bill

James, I'm with you 100% I think you should interveiw me 'cause I'm the #1 fan, never missed a show. Jack: Unobop- Since you said you were going to quit the band in the morning after this show it is obvious you had some kind of problem not related to what the music was doin. Check out Phil and freinds sometime, they usualy start of with about 35 minutes of Jamming in one key. I'm playing bass here, I play the root and some times the 5th, it is up to you caleb and eli to decide what is happenning with the jams. I haven't heard a complaint yet about the bass and drums in this band. If when in the middle of playing you aren't playing, you have your back to the crowd/microphone and you are asking us to stop playing so we can start playing then there is nothing I can do. maybe at band practise you and caleb and eli can try some experiments in voiceing cords together and listening to each other. i know you look to me during the performance, but there is nothing I can do to change whta you guys are playing. Remeber me and the drummers are the universal groove, the rest of you guys are suposed to supply the cosmic funk. On the ride home from unobop with Kinder, wediscussed the music and attitdues of tht night.] It is a party! The music doesn't have control over whether people have a good party. It is up to the individual to party and have a good time. Eli don't talk about Lassie, you are the worst dog owner i've met since y2k. Do you remeber locking frank in a dark 8ftx8ft dark room for 5-10 hours a day last year at 432? Do you remember that you wouldn't allow anyone to take him out cause your landlord would see. F-Uck the landlord, if you aren't ready to own a dog, you shouldn't. You should watch Lassie some time. You might notice that Lassie was outside most of the time, the Ideal place for a dog.
Execute Scalar, can I put that song on the march econocank? Let me know.

Man, I guess you're right, degicank. Being in a room for hours on end is tortourous...much like when in an office or class room....absolutely tortourous. I should have said f-Uck the landlord, if I had the balls. Sometimes I just curle up in a ball and ship my tants. Sometime, I'll be brave enough to tell my landlords to f-Uck off...I won't even give a crap....I won't even care if it means Frank won't have a place to live....but I can just release him into the woods, that's where he wants to be anyway, right. ps., does anyone have an employee handbook I can borrow to straighten my life out?

I'm not sure what you guys are talking about, but classrooms and offices aren't exactly the best places for dogs either. Isn't that dog your talking about the one I saw on numerous occasions being fed Dorito's and other human junk food? I just caught some of phish and saw in the lot unattended dogs and dogs locked in cars. I hope there is no afterlife or else their is going to be a lot of "[glow=red,2,300]Burning in Hell[/glow] in the Jam band scene. Sometimes people who feel they have no control over their lifes get a dog so they can feel like they have control over something.

hey you can put that song on econocank if you like. of course it's not as finely crafted as i would like to come off (some near misses, and the ending needs better resolve), but in reality my presentation isn't all that finely crafted so why pretend otherwise?

Man. I havn't gotten a chance to listen to that song yet but thats got to be one of my favorite songs of all time. It reallly hits home for me.
I do remember frank being locked up at 432 for a long time every day... It sucks.
I also remember going to a party where frank and Eli were at about 4 weeks ago. I came into the party and everyone there was really spaced out. I came in and said "where's frank?"
Eli told me Frank wasn't there. Everyone was in the basement, with almost all the lights off. I heard a crying noise coming form one of the walls. I said wheres frank again and no one would tell me. Finally I heard a scratching noise and more crying and I opened the door that the noise was coming from. Low and Behold it was Frank. He was LOCKED in a CLOSET!
Boy, was he happy to get out... James was there and can vouch on that part of the story for me.
Then later in the night/morning Eli passed out. People were burning/lighting his beard up and I could sense that Frank really needed to go outside. Then peple were opening Eli's eyes up for him but he was still unconsciecnes. He would just sit there with his eyes held open. This was all the way accross town from my house so I figured it would be nice to have someone to walk home with. We woke Eli up the best we could and I told him that I was taking Frank with me. All the people that were in the room thought it was a good idea because Eli had an early class and the owners of the house didn't really want to take care of frank, and Eli hadn't even asked permission for that.
So I toke frank with me and left Eli there.
I got a call about 12 hours later. It was Eli wondering where frank was?!?!? I knew that dawg had told him that I took frank. But Eli wanted to lay some sort of guilt trip on me for taking frank, which I thought was the most humain thing to do. So I got in trouble for taking / "stealing" Frank again!
Well let me remind you all somthing. Chenny and Matt offered Frank to me when his leg was still busted and he was a puppy. I would have loved to have him BUT MY LANDLORD DIDN'T ALLOW DOGS! I feel that Frank is not a peice of property, but I still consider him to be my, Matt C, James chenny, Joe, Chris K and the fore founders dog.

thanks for saving franks life bill...well, thank yourself I guess since he's still yours. (maybe you should re-evaluate the details of what happened that night bill (and your condition that night). I'm not gonna waste time bickering with you....but if you (or anybody) are truly concerned about Frank and would like to discuss it with me, please contact me personally....I would be grateful to you for caring so much about Franks well being.)
and while I'm at it, I am going to have to back out of these bickering sessions all together. It has been fun...I haven't had that much fun since Josh used to dunk my head in my cereal bowl and hold it until I learned how to extract oxygen from milk...and boy how that has come in handy since! So I'm going to take what I've learned here and start spending my time learning the mastery of brainwashing so I can train Frank like _ _ _ trained _ _ _ _ _....'Go mooch from somebody....good boy!!"

Bill, I will have to back up your story since you asked me too. I saw first hand the events bill described and was suprised the next day to find out that Eli was upset with bill after bill freed frank from a closet where he was trapped whining. Not really a closet more like an anti-chamber in a basement just a few feet away from six people hanging out carrying on. torture? for a dog yes.
Perhaps josh should have held you under for longer periods of time. Maybe we can have a bowl of cereal come out of the hydrocelator sometime and re-enact the experience.
Again don't give up just because you feel you can't win. there is no winner or loser just those who can handle and those who can't. hang in there buddy, if you give up now what does that proove?

good question, James... The reason I am "giving up" is because I don't feel like spending hours rebutting all the accusations you guys throw around. As I said, go ahead and keep throwing, but I don't have time to clean up your (or anyones) mess....for instance...
Frank was not locked in a closet or antichamber, he was in between an outside basement door and an inside basement door. Frank was outside with Fallet, and Fallet let him in the basement door, but there is one more door before he can get inside. Since Frank has not mastered paw control to open doors, his only option was to bark to whoever was inside to open the second door so he could complete his venture from outside to in. Just one example of me wasting time answering your accusations....another???....
Bill was wasted when he took frank, I was on the very end of a fung night, and decided to call it a night after all the crazyness. I decided before we took sail that Frank and I were spending the entire evening at my friends house because it was so far from my house and I knew how long the night would be. When I fell asleep, Bill started fuking with me, but I just ignored him assuming he would get his kicks and then leave me alone...as I always ignore before retaliate... After he left me alone, I went back to sleep and then he stole my dog....I mean his dog (its funny how no one wanted Frank when he needed a home, and now that he has one, everyone claims him as there own.) Frank is no one's...he is Frank's. I am responsible for Frank...for his food, his health, and his general well being. I assume these responsibilities solely and do as best job as I can while dealing with all the other responsibilities I have....meaning, yes Frank is alone at my house when I'm at work or school. But while Frank is stuck in the house, I'm stuck in an office or classroom. When I'm not, he's not. He's not any worse off then me. Frank has a great life and a lot of friends who ask me if they can take him for a walk, take him to the woods, etc. I don't ask people to take care of him (only when I'm in a jam), people love him so much they ask me to. And for the worst dog owner since Y2k, many have told me that I have the most well behaved dog since Y1k...thanks in part to Matt, but seeing that the reason he had to give Frank up is that Frank was too crazy and out of control for him, I would say he's made a lot of improvement since I've had him. And now that I have wasted 20 minutes telling you something I didn't care if you knew or not, this is the reason I am done bickering with you guys. I don't care about proving myself to you all...when I want to let you guys know something, I'll speak up....when I don't care, it's not that I don't care about you or your opinion, I just don't have time for it.

It must be tough not having time for anything. How about instead of half assing ten thousand things focusing on five thousand things?

hold on there johnny...
When me and james got there, we asked if frank was there. The reply was no. When we heard a dog crying from the door/wall, we asked again, and the response was no he's not here...
These are not accusations, their fact.
You have no right to make accusations about my mindstate that night. I dont think your mind was there enough to make that sort of judgement. I did have a pretty good buzz going on, but I was no where near as spaced out as anyone else at that house.
As far as your other accusation is concerned, I was not the one burning your beard and pulling your eye lids open, I merely asked if it was cool to take frank, which when you seemed half conscience again, you replied OK yeah... ZZZzzzzZZZzzzz
I think you are the one making accusations here Jhonny...
anyway, now that we have that cleared up...
Its a hell of allot of responsibilty to take care of a dog our any animal. I know that. It cost allot of money to keep a dog too, and I applaude you for that.
I didn't take frank in 2001, because
#1) I was not allowed to have an animal where I lived. I did not want to have to hide the poor soul everyday. I was not willing to make that sacrifice.
#2) I could not accept the responsibility of taking care of a dog for some of the reasons you listed...
No big whoop though, but I like you, too, don't want to waste MY TIME replying to false accusations to protect me namesake.

double standards seems to be what eli has built his life and reputation on.
It's ok for eli to say jack doesn't know the songs and then play keyboards like a tone deaf epileptic.
It's ok for eli to say bill was too wasted to know what was going on and then contradict what occured with his recollections.
It's ok for eli to tell Planet 22 the mix down will take no time and then spend weeks erasing data and explaining why it takes so long to mix down.
It's ok for eli to say he's done defending himself and then continue defending himself.
It's ok for eli to do what ever he wants, he's eli and it's his band

though this doesn't justify anything...good or bad...just in retrospect.....
Frank was going to a frat house if I didn't take him. Matt met some guys who liked Frank at Arts Fest, and Matt said he was looking for owners, and they said yes. Upon hearing that, I told Matt that I couldn't live with myself if Frank ended up at a frat, so although my landlords didn't allow dogs, I did everything in my power to keep Frank in the family.
