i think a website with a form and timeline and limit to how many bands can play due to time constraints would be great. you know first come first serve. and it looks lioke we have our first entry... Planet 22 at 10:22 on Friday evening? sounds good to me. Lets have some yays or nays for a website for chucks and band sign up list developed by May 1st. Yay!

Spread the word throughout the music scene in state college, we still see people from time to time at party's that played chuck's or have friends that played chuck's. Get the word out that the first planning meeting will take place on "such and such" a date and stick with it.
If chuck's planning is done by june then we have three months to prepare instead of mickey mousing the schedule the week before hand.

Excellent! So we've got Planet 22 For Friday night headline, and Patchwork Blue for Sat night headline. What time can headline get? I vote for midnight to sunrise, That leaves thursday 10pm-Sunrise, Friday Sunrise-midnight, Sat-Noon-midnight sunday Sunrise to 6pm to still fill up. That is 50 hours still to fill up. If we have 2, bands with 3hour sets each on the two Prime time Evening( 6pm-11:59pm fri and sat) That still leaves 38 hrs or 16 one hour slots and 11 two hours slots still open. I think we should get a schedule early and publish it. This is what I'm working on now: robertspeers.tripod.com/ Best wishes all, I be back in three weeks, Watkins Glenn here we come...

DR. NAQULES, PATCHWORKSBLU, PLANET 22, DAILY SUPPLEMENT, CAVEMAN
You Better stop hireing band soon, This is a solid line up. Lets move with it before the loose cannons in our organization start promising time that doesn't exist to great bands from Pittsburg and Williamsport that end up getting people mad at our organization.
There are pleanty of bands I bet Chuck has in the back of his mind that will contact us at the 11th hour, we need to have some wiggle room...

That is why we are having all bands send in press kits by July 22nd, after that all bands will be contacted about thier time slot by July 31st. We will continue to hold communications with each band until the day of the festival. If a band misses thier slot, then too bad. I have already discussed this all with Chuck, and I will make sure that he contacts Geno, so he understands what is going on as well. If all works well, this could be a fool-proof plan and we can worry about other more important things for the fest, like a giant plaster fiber-optic tree that will record video and audio of the entire festival, or a getting a Golf Cart. Which, James says, is his only job for this year.

Press kit requirement is a change of the rules in mid stream. You're going to have bands show up that signed up first on this message board (per instructions) that think they are playing but didn't send you a presskit. Not a good idea.
Hope james isn't getting the golf cart from the same place he got the limo for the timequake....if so, we may never see him again.

Correction, my friend, if you look back, NO WHERE on this thread did I say, "hey sign up by posting you are going to play" All I asked was if people were interested in a chucks farm web site with band sign up list.
Now we have a web site and band sign-up list, all the bands that have posted on this thread have been contacted about proper procedures.
But, this seems to be the only way that everyone is on the same page. We are all professionals at this point and if we can't send in a simple press release, press kit, email stating band name, ect., I don't know what other sort of organization we could come up with.
Lets try not to be negative nancies about this.
So far, I haven't recieved any confirmation emails from any bands, I'm sure that everyone of them that has posted on this thread will send me an email, but I haven't recieved any yet.
As of now, I am counting on Patchwork Blu, Planet 22, The Daily Supplement, and Dr. Naqleus to all play, but I still need an email from you guys, that way it isn't just heresay.
Over the years there has been a lot of heresay on these message boards so I can't take anything I read on here as truth, so PLEASE, send an email. I'm not asking for much, it make all of our lives a little easier.
Thanks,
Chris Cank chucksfarm@degivisuals.com

Chuck isn't happy with this presskit B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T and he doesn't like the idea of having a first come first serve attitude. "Who wants to see some Byzantine Empire garbage at 2am? We need hot spaced out music from people that know what they're doing."
