Let's stay positive here, but I think we should avoid too much litagation, and too many rules and hurrdles. if Dr. Naq, Patchworkblue, Planet22, and Daily Supplement have all posted here they are ready willing and able to play, that should be good enough, to be sure I'll email you this message...

I would like to thank Dr. Naqleus, Patchwork Blu, The Daily Supplement, and Planet 22 for thier submissions, and interest in playing at Chucks.
If any of you have any ideas for the festival this year, ie: know of anyone that wants to help with sound or stage managing, or lighting, ect. That would be great!

We'll probably need more than one person to run sound considering that there will be music from sun up to sun up.
Hey Eli, if you are reading this, what do you think, one do sound for some time slots?
We can assign time slots to all the sound guys in advance so they can schedule their extra curricular activities around that time, and no one person is stuck behind the board for too long.

As far as sound goes, I'm pretty sure you know we're down with loaning our PA, or whatever components you need, provided that someone with know-how can watch it at all times its running. Chris, I'm pretty sure you got a glimpse of it at that jam we had at our house a few monthes back but just so you know, here's what we have: -2 Peavey SP-4G speaker towers (2 - 15" speakers, 1 horn) -Behringer Europower EP1500 2 x 450 watt amp -Yamaha MG-16/6FX 16 channel mixer -1 Shure 57, 2 lesser mics The one thing we're really lacking is monitors...I know Dave Barr might be able to get one 15" powered monitor but that's it. But otherwise, the system has huge balls. I think it's a good idea to have as many able bodies to man the sound too. Is the plan to have the sound set up to the side of the stage like last year or are you going to have it out in the center away from the stage for a better assessment of how it sounds? I'm not sure if it'd be possible to make that convenient though, with the heavy people traffic and whatnot. Looking forward to making this a glorious event. -Dr. Koester www.drnaqleus.com

It sounds like we won't have much of a problem with sound, we can use my PA as the monitors, that would give us two, if Dave has that powered montor, that makes three and I might be able to muster up one more for another monitor.
I would like to run a snake, if at all possible so the sound board is in the rear, however this opens the soundboard up to more people walking into it, pretending it is a spaceship, ect. ect.
If we set up a station that won't allow people to accidentally bump into it and what not, that would help. And as long as we can keep at least one sound guy running it 24hrs a day, we shouldn't have a problem.
Another idea that we have tossed around in the past is to put the sound board in the bus to keep it as safe as possible, this would make it harder to do sound however and last year there were MANY MANY bees on the bus. A friend of ours got stung on the dick, and I don't want anyone to get a case of the dick bees this year!

Ha - sorry, i just realized i only responded to the last part of your message there...
I'm thinking again about the soundboard and I almost feel it would be more hassle to have it set up away from the stage. We probably won't be running many channels (only a couple vox and probably kick drum) so not much could be adjusted even if the soundman could hear things better from the center. It also may be nice to have the soundman right at the side of the stage so we can communicate more effectively.
i'm sure these are all things that will be worked out further down the road but it was on my mind.

hey there chucks farm board! my name is Bill i play in Patchwork Blu. we have never played at chucks( i think our keyboard player may have back in the day) but i think the website is a good idea, nobody ever said that just because you send your press kit in first means you are going to play that is why they are asking for mp3's so that they can take all the bands and decide which ones are the best to play. something like this has to be done, i have talked to bands in the past that have driven from our area(pittsburgh) only to arrive there and find that they were double booked in their time slot and arent going to play (after driving 3 hours). this is not good we really want to come play for you guys so i hope to see you in september chris-we have sent you our stuff did you get it? www.patchworkblu.com

Seal the deal: i'm pretty sure it's up to Alchemy to send in a press kit (or at least mp3s) to get on this bill, and no the late night slots are not reserved yet (check some of the earlier posts by Chris Cank). Just to make it clear, Dr. Naqleus (with the exception of our manager A-ron who has talked us up for a late night a little bit) has not been on this board, or any other board for that matter, posting that we have so-and-so time slot at Chuck's. We're waiting, like the other acts that are pursuing this, to see what the event organizers decide. We do appreciate the few folks (Rocket Man, Double D) who are pumped to see us but lets please just wait until a confirmed schedule materializes. Also, i think you mean to direct folks to Alchemy's web page, which is www.alchemysounds.com, not Manhattan Beach Music and Voice, which is where the link you posted takes you. Peace t
