The 223 counties in 20 states cited by the Environmental Protection Agency for failing federal air standards because of microscopic soot from diesel-burning trucks, power plants and other sources. The EPA also cited the District of Columbia
CALIFORNIA (13) - Fresno, Kern, Kings, Los Angeles, Madera, Merced, Orange, Riverside, San Bernadino, San Diego, San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Tulare.
DELAWARE (1) - New Castle.
MARYLAND (11) - Anne Arundel, Baltimore City, Baltimore, Carroll, Charles, Frederick, Harford, Howard, Montgomery, Prince George's, Washington.
NEW JERSEY (13) - Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Essex, Gloucester, Hudson, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Morris, Passaic, Somerset, Union.
NEW YORK (10) - Bronx, Kings, Nassau, New York, Orange, Queens, Richmond, Rockland, Suffolk, Westchester.
NORTH CAROLINA (3) - Davidson, Guilford, Catawba.
PENNSYLVANIA (22) - Allegheny, Armstrong, Beaver, Berks, Bucks, Butler, Cambria, Chester, Cumberland, Dauphin, Delaware, Greene, Indiana, Lancaster, Lawrence, Lebanon, Mercer, Montgomery, Philadelphia, Washington, Westmoreland, York.
The EPA removed 19 counties in seven states from a preliminary failure list issued in June:
ALABAMA (1) - Lee.
GEORGIA (5) - Dade, Harris, Jasper, Madison, Oconee.
KENTUCKY (3) - Clark, Madison, Woodford.
NORTH CAROLINA (5) - Burke, Caldwell, Forsyth, Randolph, Stokes.
OHIO (1) - Geauga.
TENNESSEE (3) - Marion, McMinn, Sevier.
WISCONSIN (1) - Kenosha.

Why isn't Centre County Pa listed? With all the methane that Degicank itself produces there that county should be the most polluted in the state.
