After Both Phil Lesh and The Rolling Stones declined invitations to play Chucks this year
I offered the late night slots to Phish, Bob Dylan and The Spice Girls, whom all cited travel conflicts on the dates of the Festival. So I aimed my sights a bit higher and came up with a still evolving line up that even as it stands I am pleased to announce.
Fri- Sept 12th, 2008
6:45pm- Geno ?- Call him see whats up.
8:45pm - Major Malfunction
9:45pm- Atlas Soundtrack- stage call time
12 Midnight- MJ Project-stage call time
Sat- Sept 14th, 2008
12pm - open
2pm- open
4pm- Harvest Moon All Fruit Jam Band
7:30pm Planet 22--stage call time
9:45pm Hot Todd and the Ugly Faces--stage call time
12 Midnight- Lemonsoul- stage call time
Ok so after realizing no one was booked officially, I booked what I think will be a pretty good line up. I was thrilled MJ project agreed to play Fri night and thank them greatly since the lst time I did their sound was in the rain at kettle jam.
FYI: unfortunately Harvest Fest Favorites The Daily Supplement & Alien disintegrated only to integrate into an new band showcasing their new sound Saturday night under the title Hot Tod and the Ugly Faces, while I am told Lemonsoul will be playing with one of my personal favorite drummers Tom Connolly for one of, if not, the last times at Chucks
Saturday will feature a 3 hr "open jam" that is likely not to be missed and will be guided (somehow) By Steve Faubel AKA Atlas Soundtrack's keyboard wizard. I imagine half Planet 22 will already be on stage for this so you can look forward to a Planet 22 set beginning, if not cycling out of, the Harvest Moon All Fruit Jam. Check in with me anytime fri night and up til sat at 3pm to involve yourself, please don't embarrass yourself.
as you can see there are still open slots and I am taking suggestions. (help!)
