NP. We are just waiting to hear from 2 bands that they are def. playing and I will post the line-up (last yr there was like 10 amendments so I only want to post one final schedule so there is no confusion) hopefully after the weekend. Chris Vipond (one of the musicians) actually ownes a print/signage shop, so we have emailed him the line-up to make a little post. Also I think he might make signage to put on rt 144 on the way to chucks so pp have an easier time finding the venue. Thanks for all your help sandy... the FB event page is stellar! -phil

Cool! Yep, sounds like Chris can do a much better job on the sign than I would! ;-) Signage on the road would be great...that's one thing I mentioned in the reminder message I sent out today, and will repeat again before the date gets here - it doesn't matter how many times I've been out to Chuck's, I ALWAYS miss the turn!! And all the people braking, turning around in somebody else's driveway, and coming back gets *really* dangerous.
I wonder if anyone knows if Chuck would like more cleanup help *prior to* the event? I know Dr. Suitcase is planning to bring wood out and check out the kitchen setup on the 19th, but it sounds like he won't be out there for very long. I can come out that day, or the next weekend, but I'd like to know if anyone else has alternate plans....

Ok so I'm posting this b/c pp keep calling me about playing... If your not on the list...you are not playing! Period! Don't show up and tell me you are playing b/c you are not! Unfortunately despite telling him that we were all filled up...Chuck is out and about telling people they can still play....Not the case sorry! If you didn't speak with me your not playing. Also, I know there are some really good bands that have played past years that want to play again. Because of the overwellming response of bands interested in playing (thank you all), we have not re-book any band that has played in previous years (to my knowledge--it's been around longer than I have). I think that this is only fair to give other bands a chance to preform. If you are upset about this I am sorry but again we wanted to be fair. Also if you are just getting around to contacting chuck or I...you have to realize that you waited till the last minute (the festival is like 2 wks away)...Plan ahead next yr and you are pretty much guarenteed a spot. With all that being said here is the line up:
Friday 7:00-9:00 The Roaring Kittens 10:00-12:00 Royal Benson 12:30-3:00 Gawker’s Delay 3:30-6:30am ATM
Saturday 2:00-3:30 Bina and J 4:00-6:00 KALA-Bluegrass 6:30-8:30 Table 10 9:00-10:30 Gramsci Melodic 11:00-1:30 Mystery Train 2:00-4:30am CV-SS Band (Chris Vipond) Break-down...
A few additional notes: Chuck and I both agreed that we are not going to have bands on Sunday... not sure what the 2nd stage is doing. Also I have not talked to ATM or KALA...Infact I don't even know who Kala is.... this is a band chuck wanted to play... if you have their contact I need to speak with them immediately. Thanks you all and sorry for the lengthy msg. Thanks you and I hope everyone else that wanted to play will still join us and enjoy the music and the festival! -Phil

Wow, it looks like a great lineup.
I'm a little surprised not to see Planet 22 up there on stage. Perhaps they will perform on the "second stage" . . . or is that "second stage" referring to the technomusic mosh pit.
Hey, if the "second stage" has more live acts jammin' (instead of canned music played by DJs) that sounds like an excellent idea. Or perhaps I just have unreasonable preferences for real live people playing instruments right in front of me. ;-)
If the demand is there, perhaps 3rd stage???! No, no, I'm not volunteering to step up and make a third stage happen. I'm down hiding in the Rainbow Sinkhole Kitchen most of the time, anyway!
See you all in just a few weeks!

It's my understanding that most of the Planet 22 guys have a wedding to attend over the Chuck's Farm weekend, so they won't be able to join in this year's lineup. If this is not the case, I imagine someone would have gotten in touch by now...and I've talked to Joe and I know they're not making it down this year. Sooo...that's the P22 deal, unless anyone else knows more....
Pirate Stages have a way of appearing, it's not impossible. ;-)

This is the final schedule...no kinks... no changes... NO ADDITIONS
Friday: 7:00-9:00 Roaring Kittens 10:00-12:00 Royal Benson 12:30-3:00 The Electric Lemonade Stand 3:30-6:30am ATM
Saturday: 2:00-3:30 Bina and J 4:00-6:00 Table 10 6:30-8:30 Gawker’s Delay 9:00-10:30 Gramsci Melodic 11:00-1:30 Mystery Train 2:00-4:30am CV-SS Band Break-down Dj Dragon?
Sunday: Clean up Light house music by Dj Dragon
Thanks! (to previous post about planet 22...see the post b4 your post... we all know they are awesome, but we are letting new bands have a chance to shine ; ) )
Thanks all see you VERY soon!
Also despite my best efforts it looks like the 2nd stage (house/techno) WILL be in the sink hole...next to the kitchen... So if you think this sucks (I do) then tell Chuck b/c he's the one that decided to have it back there again this year (despite my advisment not to)

Ahh, yeah...that is a REALLY BAD spot for the 2nd stage. Especially this year, when the 2nd stage ppl are really planning a good lineup and we're all expecting a pretty big crowd. I know some ppl aren't thrilled with it existing at all, but I think it's great as long as it's as far away from the main stage as possible. The sinkhole is too close to the main stage, and obviously WAY too close to the kitchen.
So...pros and cons? Can we convince Chuck otherwise? I'm sure he has his reasons; maybe there are issues with running electricity or something, or trying to keep that crowd contained, but even just moving it to the other side of that patch of woods (in the lower fields) would be so much better.
I know this whole 2nd stage thing always causes problems, but I think we need to figure out a way for the two to coexist - and to coexist with the kitchen - before it turns into the debacle it was two years ago.
People visiting the 2nd stage: PLEASE be respectful of your proximity to the kitchen. People completely destroyed the kitchen two years ago and that's why the whole 2nd stage idea lost a lot of respect. If we can't move it (and I still think we should try) then at least set things up so that things don't get in the way of the kitchen. It's going to be crowded as hell down there.

How is everyone? Hopefully psyched for Chuck's! I just wanted to ask you all (Dr. suitcase especially) if there was anything general that needed to be contributed? I'm more broke this year than usual but depending on what's being asked for, I can at least search my area for anything free or cheap. I know garbage bags are always a big one, anything else? Let me know! Ahhh I can't wait for this year's fest. I hope the late date doesn't make it any colder than usual (and that the rain holds off)

Third Year Visitor,
GREAT questions!! :-) We're all broke, and we all understand! :-) Helping each other out by bringing donations for the kitchen is another great way of lending a hand at Chuck's - OR, if you can't bring food, bring yourself! Dr. Suitcase is in need of people to volunteer in the kitchen, especially on Saturday when he won't be there.
I will repost the event information from the Facebook page in my next post here. PLEASE take the time to read the whole thing and pass along the info to everyone you know that is attending Chuck's Farm! I know a lot of people may not have visited the Facebook page if they hear about Chuck's by word-of-mouth, so we want to make sure the correct info is being passed on to everyone. You'll see the next post in 3 minutes!! :-)
