Hey all,
Clean-Up day at Chuck's Farm is this Saturday. This is not a campout/party, just a time to come out during the day and work and help Chuck! He'll be taking a load of garbage out to the Transfer Station during its operating hours of 8 am - 4 pm, so come out early and help get things bagged up. You should bring good gloves, good shoes, and garbage bags. The stage area is especially in need. Whatever you gather in fields should be bagged up and left on the sides of the dirt roads so that he can easily come by in the truck and pick it up.
If you have any questions, leave a message here. :-) And whatever you do - DO NOT PARK ON THE STREET!! Please pull in to the main entrance and park on the grass somewhere. Thanks!

Yes and no...I'm sure we need more than one day to really clean up in preparation for future events. Chuck and I bagged up a whole lot of what was near the stage (tons and tons of cans and bottles, I hope no one was dancing barefoot out there! lol) but there is a lot left to be done. This past Saturday was decided on really short notice, so I didn't expect much of a turnout. He needs to get things cleaned up asap, and it's way too much for only 2-3 people. I think that one of these weekends, it would be great to organize a group of at least 10-20 or so volunteers to go out and really sweep up that area as well as the fields. I think some of the rave pit guys are going out there today to clean up that area - I didn't get a chance to go down there so I'm not sure how it is.
If the weather holds up this fall, maybe we'll organize a big clean-up day on a weekend. If not, we should really get one in during the spring. There are remnants of past festivals as well as this year's - before Chuck is willing to hold another festival, it would be great to remove any remnants of previous ones!

Yeah we are going to take care of the rave pit soon, Walter talked to Chuck and he knows about it.
We aren't available much on weekends because of bookings. I was in NY this past weekend and will be next week and then PGH the two following weekends.
We plan to go down on a weekday in the near future.
We will definitely take care of business because we want to maintain a good relationship with Chuck.
