Thank you Geno. I just want to say... Bands please be respectful of each other, if it will take you more than 15 minutes to wrap up and move your equipment offstage please stop a little early. I know we will be following Mr. Barr's sugestions for increased efficiency and work flow. I sugest each band nominate a time keeper to keep things on track.
If bands could take their stuff down when finished that would leave room for late nighters to get back on stage and keep fools from the audience from getting up on stage and destroying equipment.
Sounds awesome, unless I hear objections I'll be taping as much as possible of the sets.

Hello Chicken Cosmo, Unfortunetly Josh( Josh has a kid now) and I(Jess and I now have 2) will be without kids this weekend. We will be available to lend a hand or help enhance security for you if needed.
Maybe Chuck and Dr. Suitcase could help us come up with a strategy going into future years. With the party growing exponentially there is more action and more little kids each year. A designated safe zone would be nice. Of course some folks already have been herding kids near the spot where the degicank party tent was set up a few years ago. I know some of us are terrified of drunk drivers and drunk bottle throwers at the party, a very small minority but sometimes present crowd.
We went to see Phil and Phriends in Mass a few years ago, there was a kids area and every disoriented fool wandered right into it, they probably benefited from being in the safe zone too.
On the same subject, we should think about protocal for first aid. It is unwise to try to do it here online. I follow Chuck's lead, handling each problem as it arises and learning from it while anticipating any trouble.
Thank you Chuck!!!

ATTENTION ANYONE NEW TO THIS BOARD:
The best thing to do is to click on "20 most recent post" at the bottom of the start page, that greatly simplifies communication and will keep you from getting into an argument with some beligerent poster from the 20th century...

We can always count on the crowd here for constructive ideas to improve the vibe.
Yo Dr. Suitcase, the planet 22 rythym section are old guys with kids now, we'll sleep in until 7:00 am and be grateful.
Phsyche! Sike! I think your assesment of up all night and then start jamming is more accurate. We'll be getting in late fri. We were hoping to go earlier in the night on the main stage, if this is a possibility please let us now how much time is being allocated to bands during prime time. If not you know we can handle the last spot of sat night. I love getting to the end of our set as the donuts arrive.
YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good question:
Did the Vikings come because the globe was cooler and the gulf stream was faster/stronger, or was the globe warmer and they could find food all the way across?
Any help on this one?
The previous post: I totaly believe the globe is warming and will warm a lot more, there is a cycle of iceages every 12,000yrs and we are just geting to the end of one. Were their industrialized humans 12,000 years ago that caused the last fluctuation global warming followerd by iceage crash? Very possible IMHO

I must humbly and respectively for the sake of argument say, don't try to Al Gore us here Dr., The graph you displayed shows an alarming upward treand, but by expanding the timescale(400X) it looks like iceages are as regular as the 4 seasons(Figure 1). This is why I have wondered about "global warming" ever since learning the natural Milancovich Cycle back in Earth Science 001 (figure 2)

I saw Da vinci code, I was suprised, very good...
I didn't think it would be a good movie since the book is about a guy standing there thinking, but R. Howard did an excellent job...
My friend and I were talking recently about the Nicean council, He said they wanted to keep Jesus' birthday in march or april, but the 600,000 roman troops outside of the city convinced them that the gods birthday would remain dec 25, the birthday of Mars their wargod.

I'm a rageaholic, I'm addicted to rage-a-hol!
second law of armed combat: Do not ignore the objective realities of the situation.
Two laws of armed conflict, however, purportedly remained unaffected by technological change. They were the law of dependence of the forms of armed combat on the material basis of the battle and operation, i.e., on people and equipment, and the law stating that the side with the greater combat power will always be favored in any battle or operation.
