I hide behind nothing but the corpses of any and all that stand in my way. Currently those who stand in my way is Planet 22, a debacle can be avoided yet members of the Oligarchy have requested to stop contact. Therefore Planet 22 must be destroyed to protect those whom have worked hard to promote it.
Degicank is in control now, Planet 22 is washed up and The Weed Report along with Degicank, Inc. will see to it that thier career is shorter lived than the careers of thier booking agents. By 8-10-03 Planet 22 will be no more, that is a gaurantee folks, not a threat.
Good Day

OK Ladies, let's remember that it's not so much what I have to say (or convey) that's important but what your (so called) fans have to say about the "new" direction of the band. I will be conducting interviews with 25 people in the next three weeks and will compile them all into a 22 page report that will outline what the true feelings of Planet 22 fans are. This will not be some Guinn family friend rave of how the brothers three are so great nor will it be a brian smith planet 22 blows take.
I don't know how it will come out because I am going into this project with an open mind, ten questions and a paper pad with pencil. Whatever will appear in this "report" will be the true, raw feelings of many of your loyal and die hard fans. All 25 persons will be selected on an availability basis and thier names will remain unknown to all but myself. Be prepared, this could be ground breaking
Peace

james, its not that i don't want to recieve your email any more...its just my inbox is not big enough to handle the eratic 48 size red bold font that you use to get attention. maybe if you could discuss things civilly like the rest of us seem to be able to do (even when in disagreement), then everybody would be glad to hear what you have to say. No one would have ever paid attention to Lassie if she just barked aimlessly and constantly.....are you feelin me?

I can't wait to see what the fans say. I think that it will be ground breaking.
I will read all 22 pages as soon as it is ready to read.
I personally feel that P22 rocks and sucks at the same time. I know of several fans who have described some shows, or some parts of shows as boring and lacking direction.
Those opinions happen to coincide with the same shows or parts of shows that I believe were a big pile of steaming crap.
To take UnoBOP as an example. I was musically ignored for over 2 hours of the time that we played. If this was painful for me, it definitely showed to the fans (and did show). The last run of shows in Feb were another example of how badly we can perform at times.
The Time Quake performance was great (in my opinion) but the first half of Brown Hotel was very off and the Valley Inn had some very very long painfully boring parts, like the part when we invited Doug (an extremely talented sax player) on stage, and then proceded to play in one key for 40 minutes. Eventually he just walked of stage.
Just because we CAN blow the roof off and land the mother ship, doesn't mean that we always do. Planet 22 has great potential, but right now we are not achieving the level of consistency of performance that is necessary to be a "real" band.

JackonSax, good to see you on the board and back on the net. I would like to apologize to you and Spilly for bearing the outlandish behavior of an individual this weekend. Not everyone can see thier own faults especially if they think that it's thier way or the highway, hopefully something constructive came of the conversation.
Josh, don't take it personally. By taking it so personally you are only prooving that you wish to have total control over the situation at hand. It's evident that some people (hopefully all of Planet 22) would like to play out a little more then you are now. What good is it to play when no one sees/hears you?
There are no cop outs here. You can't say shananagans on Jack for not knowing the names of songs when he can play 85% of the works you have while Eli is holding back the band by only knowing 30%. You can't make it look like Planet 22 is progressing into bigger markets (ie Philly) just because you're moving to a bigger market. Booking gigs near and around you is the same greediness and self motivation weather it be blairsville or Philadelphia.
Lots of talking and sorting is needed, I'm very disappointed with everyong for not talking at all during this last run of shows. Things need to be set straight and people need to be put in thier place (even if it is me, but I'm not in the band so......) Planet 22 can't afford to let this type of shit run amuck any longer.
let's put the thinking caps on ladies, that or find some engineering job to go waste the rest of ours lives with.

was actually reminding me of vikings sharpening their knives before going to battle or someting... that is exactly what we were playing. A lot of people will have trouble understanding what was going on with the music, but we are still in the middle of the set. The Music we are playing for unobop is a representation of mohamad's travels to the 7 heavens and 7 hells. We. started in 1st heaven and progressed through each wave going wider until now we are still in/playing the 6th hell. we are playing (mars god of war, by G. Hoolst) This started and conitnued into the mornng and into the futre. I am still keeping the beat going in my head(I am not kidding, we are invovled in extreme physchedelic warfare). When we return next year(if boo is back) w will continue where we are(mars) until we get into the 7th heaven where you will here all your favorite bullshit hippie jam band music that you want. This is bigger then what you see. remeber magic is hidden and great evil is hidden in the open in places that seem good. Next year as we hit the peek of the 7th hell we will have boo and co. bust through the windows like in minority report while all the fireworks and pyro are going off. Our longtime fans will relise this is not just an excuse, this is what was being planed while we were at uno.

mars god of war by g. hoolst. i think my mom used to have a record of that in her collection. in between martin denny and herb albert.
yyaa, it really sounded like viking music to me. the sound may have been influenced by the gun racks and strange carving insturments in the back room behind the bathrooms. that room was just screaming viking warfare. really it was too cold that nite, even for vikings, but the sound was there.

I enjoyed the uno bop, but that type of performance is more for the open minded and takes some getting used to, kind of like a good whisky. I was slightly diappointed in the fact that not all the band members were getting involved. And if they did, it was only for a very short amount of time... Remeber when Jhonny jupiter was telling me and jack that no way does any band make over a million dollars a year? Well I got some factual information on this subject, I will shed some light on shortly. Or if anyone else has a copy of the rolling stone with phish on the cover, it tells how they made way over a million in every year of the late nineties. I think the band phish made a profit of over 300 million dollars last year... Me and jack were trying to tell eli about this, but he wouldn't believe it. He thinks that theyd be lucky to make 50K a year, and that their sound people make more then them... He also stated that he would never play in a large arena or stadium, and then someone told him(i think it was jack, but dont quote me on this) that he wouldn't be playing with him then.
