What's up? Nobody wants to have a chucks farm this year? Come on people this is it!!!!! the more we plan the better it gets.
We can't have any foul-ups with outside Pas or Sound guys; thats unprofessional.

Ideas can come from anyone. Where are your ideas "come on people"? Post some ideas and you'll respond? How about you suck my nutz while no music goes on at chucks because you were too busy waiting for other peoples ideas?

I will try to talk to Chuck about this when I see. I can think of no reason in the world why he would want to do this... Sounds like a good time to me, and we havn't had anyone out there at chucks in a long time.

Spoke with Chuck, he said no spring thing this year. No one wants to come out and volunteer help, so he's not doing anything in the spring. Perhaps if we made some better plans he would reconsider. Lets discuss this further and perhaps we can think of a way to get people to sign up for volunteer work. I geuss we'll just need to know what he needs done. So if we can get enough people in this thread to say that they'll commit to helping Chuck do what ever kind of work he needs done, and then print this up and show it to him, he may change his mind if he sees a positive response.

I donate as much of my time as I can for each and every Sunflower Farms Harvest Festival I attend. Last year I spent all day thursday gathering wood with 9-3-77 boy, picking up the property and what not. I even camped out thursday night (one of 6 people including chuck) to get a full day of work in on friday.
Unfortunately 6 voluteers are hardly enough for an event of this calliber especially when it's concentrated on the day of the event. What we need to do here is starting in August have "clean-up" events at chucks; maybe one or two nights before labor day and then have a daily schedule of "tasks" to complete (no matter how small) leading up to the event.
With this out in the public for discussion perhaps we could find persons with incentive to lead teams of volunteers. The more organized our "staff" before they have "teams" the better things will flow. I suggest the following as base teams:
1) Trash/Recycling - we're not talking beer bottles and twinkie wrappers, well perhaps but more like sheet metal and bulk objects.
2)Landscape/layout -with the talk of an isolated "rave till dawn" stage for this years activities we'll need to have properly trimmed access to the further away spots as well as groomed parking and stage areas. We're not talking golf course precision but the bigger the "clear cut" areas are the less likely people will find danger at night while walking/stumbling.
3) Stage/canopy-roof - with a record crowd already expected and bands out the a-hole we need a new stage to conduct business from. a covered stage will enable muisc to distract from hurricane "F-You up"
4) Beer/Beer/Beer/Beer - we've been very blessed the last several years as Degicank and outside sources have consistantly provided refreshing alcohol to all the revelers. How about working on Old MAd Dragons idea of a beer trailer?
Thats it for now. Everyone still feel comfortable with a juneish prechcuks planing party?

I looked into a Titanium Sapphire Lazer and unless one of us is a navy seal we're not getting one. They're under tight lockdown anywhere they maybe.
I have Melht wanting a slot for Chucks farm this year; Alchemy most likely will be in again but we can't have last years fiasco, mike doing the lights will be fine but we need dave or someone else doing sound.
Planet 22 is in I guess? any feed back from those guys? I want to book telepathy but we should have some sort of fall tour lined up to share dates out west in return.
Anyways it looks like I'm just writing notes for myself right now, anyone please chime in with your thoughts and needs for chucks 2004.

We would love to get in on some Chucks farm, and would also like to get the Planet down here to Pittsburgh to play some music with us if there is any interest in this. www.Patchworkblu.com has a couple sound clips. www.flidop.com is sorta the center of our unofficial music scene, and you can find smok'n bands on there, like Borderless Puzzle, Barefoot, Soulpatch, and Doodis of you are looking for more acts. Some of those bands include members formally of State College who already know that chucks farm is "the fire." Oh yea, and if you want to see this stuff for yourself, I recomend July 17th at the Rex Theatre in the south side. They have a cool light and sound system there, and Denny is...well...almost as cool as Brewery Dave on the sound. Later folks!

Follow your mind's eye... Follow your mind's eye... Follow your mind's eye...
Chucks '04; unbelievable how great it was. It all started right here in the planning stage; unbeknownest now, even to the brainstormer, lies the golden plan...
Follow your mind's eye...
