This all sounds great! Clay, please please play crazy background ethereal noise with byzantine. Steve has all your amp needs.
I will be using a Bob Moog signature series etherwave theremin hooked up to my laptop also using ableton live. The saxophone may make an appearance if I can get it fixed in time.
If anyone knows where Perry Gray is, he was supposed to deliver my Tenor 3 Chuck's Farms ago!
It looks like this is going to be a wonderful collaboration.
There is only one VERY important question for the Empire....who's bringing breakfast?

Chris: Unfortunetly Chucks's is the same weekend as Perry's bike race this year(MS-150)...
Steve: Reading to Springfield VT is 6 hrs 18 min., If you arrived by Noon sat, that would leave about 9 hrs for practicing(unless we get a show sat night(slim chance but possible), then 3-4 hrs practice sunday AM, followed by a show Sun at 1pm. Josh needs to be out of here by around 4:30pm on sunday. What time is your work sunday night? That is a lot of driving, but if you run the numbers you see... 12hrs 36 min.s driving vs. 16 hours playing The choice is yours, we would be happy to have you, and it will be fun!

Phoenix Dave: Can I plug my djx keyboard right into your system during Byzantine? In stereo? The out put is stereo 1/4 inch, I can split it to two mon 1/4 inches, or just go mono, or mic it(onboard speakers)...Ben the man offered me use of his bass amp, if we don't have to bring an amp from VT we will have room for oxygen in our car.

joe, the driving time is less than 12 hrs, because the trip home will be from springfield VT to Hawley PA, which is 2 1/2 hrs north of reading....translation=approx. 10hrs driving...i don't have to work till monday am, but i need to sleep because i do tree work and it requires alertness or else....also, there is a home for your keyboard in my 5 channel amp, it'll be cozy with my two keyboards, and clay, but it'll work, plus there's no better time to blow out an amp than at chucks, so don't worry about bringing an amp down...any word from kordish, king of keyboards?

Seek and Ye shall find: Kordish:Look for him 7 PM Friday at Chuck's in the Ihi Yahn Ihi Arkestra, then I hopefully at 1:15am you'll see him next to you playing the waltz... Hydrocelator: Ben the Man, Degicank Appalacian Regional Director, has been running the Hydrocelator for awhile now, I don't know if the latest experiments can be put on hold to move it, identifying location in 4-d is difficult, and the longer we run the hydrocelator, unfortunetely it seems like it is getting trickier to pick up its signal from long range. The founder and cheif tech are aware of this instability, and MItech Global seems to be close to a solution. Web schedule: Updates have been forwarded to Mike Steve: Just let us know, bring a sleeping bag... Force Jack to come with you.

Does anyone have good ideas for recording all of the bands?
Does anyone know a taper named Bird Song? He taped our set last year, and I'd love to get a copy for the archives, I had a hand held tape recorder on top of the bus, when our set began I looked up and it was gone , presumably fallen down behind the drums/cables somewhere, when the set was over the tape recorder was back where I thought it was with a brand new blank tape inside...
Phoenix Dave: The only good recorder I have is a stand alone cd-recorder, these rarely function well in conditions with unstable power supply. Does anyone have a fancy new-fangled futureistic recorder that can record for 48 hours?

It has been too long since the hydrocelator has been out to Chucks....I think it could be important that we integrate it into our system this year. If not, then we should at least bring the transmitter.
Scooter of TDS has a brand new Zoom field recorder...all you need is an unlimited source of flash ram to record the entire show....lets try to make this happen...
Pheonixdave: if you can record the entire festival for prosterity's sake, I would highly recommend it....evbery band this year is really incredible and I consulted some differential matter from another space and time, and it looks like all roads lead to a stellar Chuck's.
Joe, won't be able to make Vermont. I will be painting Don Preston of Frank Zappa fame on Sunday...have a great time playing!
See y'all very soon.
Cheers,
Cank
