I just checked out the weather for the next few days in Rebersberg... It is looking brutal. Heavy rains from Wednesday and all through the weekend. Is there any chance that it gets postponed a week? Chuck's farm is my favorite event of the year and I would hate to miss it, but the thought of trying to navigate out of there after heavy rains and a weekend of partying is daunting, to say the least.

I remember with trepidation the mudslides of 2009!
I agree that with 10+ inches of rain on it's way to saturating the land, and more rain called for all weekend, that I'm reconsidering going to Chuckstock this year. Not only will the fields and roads be axle deep in mud, but the sinkholes themselves might be flooded.
That means that the primary mover and shaker (me - Dr. Suitcase) for the Rainbow Sinkhole Kitchen won't be there to make it happen.
I haven't made a final decision just yet, but I really don't want to get stuck in the mud, cook in the middle of a sinkhole lake, etc.
I hope others will be able to find the equipment (the major cooking instruments - pots, frying pans, wok - should be in the sinkhole kitchen from year before last), clean them up, and make it all happen!
Blessed Be
Dr. Suitcase

I think that 2008 was even worse! I was lucky enough to have had parked on the side of the road, but vividly remember watching cars mud wrestle with chuck's farm. Is there any way at all the event gets pushed back?? I am just hoping for my own selfish reasons, as my ride is probably bailing because of the weather.

Sunflower Fest is still going to go on rain or shine. was up at the farm Thursday night if rain holds off! don't think things will be to bad. Rainbow Kitchen doesn't seam to be holding any water so that should be good. but once again if the rain holds off if people run the edge of the fields to drive in keep off the lane were the mud is they'll be fine.
