PSU Chapter of Mars Society - Informational Meeting: The PSU Mars Society is a student organization involved in research and outreach pertaining to the manned exploration of Mars. Our current research project involves the design and construction of a modular research rover that is controlled by a user with virtual reality gloves. The purpose of this project is to investigate methods to increase an astronaut's productivity and efficiency during planetary exploration. Additionally we are heavily involved in education and public outreach. We are currently designing several Mars exploration exhibits that will be on display across the state during this coming February. Work with K-12 students and teachers also plays a big role in our outreach. The PSU Mars Society will be holding an informational meeting at 7:00pm on Thursday, September 18th, in 109 EE West. There will also be free pizza and drinks at the meeting. Please visit www.psums.org or email Kevin Sloan (kfs113@psu.edu) for more information. Kevin Sloan www.psums.org
