Has anyone tried to setup a goggle webpage yet? They just started a new service about 2 weeks ago that lets you have your own webpage on google.
I tired to snipe degicank by signing up for degicank.google.com, but they disabled the service because it was way overloaded.
In other google news:
GDrive: Google's Virtual Hard Drive
At Google Annual Analyst Day there was a slide or two on the presentation that showed evidence of Google creating GDrive; a virtual location to store your files without using a Gmail hack. Greg Linden said Google has removed the revealing notes with slides (PDF) of the presentation. But Derrick posted a comment with the notes for those slides at Greg's blog, where GDrive is mentioned.
Garett Rogers at Googling Google tries to figure out how GDrive will be monetized. He suggests that Google may offer a set amount of storage for free and charge an additional monthly fee for added space. He also suggests that Google may offer hard drive backup services to external devices like DVDs as an additional paid service. But I may offer that Google provides a Gmail-like interface to the data on this GDrive, with ads contextual relevant to the folders and files in the drive.

I heard they where running into issues, because google demands the right to hold onto any file placed on there servers for three years, even if you delete it right away they will still hold onto your data.
They do the same basic thing with web info. Don't forget google doesn't search the web, it searches it's own hard drives, that allows them to seacrh quickly, its all semilocal.
They preatty much have a local copy of the internet, crazy huh. This was all in the news when google wanted to archive the worlds libraries, but publishers had an issue with google having local digital copies of copyrighted material, without paying them gratuities

I got a gdrive like 5 months ago! It stopped working after they shut the service down however. Now I have this thing mounted on my computer, and I can't dismount it!

what happens if you use the google drive and want to profit off the info you've built there? Will google come in and claim they own the rights and not you?
Dr Cank I'm looking in your direction for an answer
