Hey there, ...plunky, slow, almost dopic sounds of picking note-to-note....if you're cool with it of course. I actually think that a 'dopic picking banjo' is a really great sound, if you're into trying it.. well, i looked up the word "dopic" on dictionary.com and it apparently is not an english word.... is like that a banjo "on dope"? nic

wow thats weird, i have heard the word in question used in conversation many a time, but you're right, i cant find it either. I must be spelling it in a very poor way. Synonyms (for our current purposes) in my mind: halting, clunky, stumbling, a-rhythmic, staggered, drunken.
Joe i am going to call you shortly to play the tracks in question. Perhaps you have files of the songs in question , or perhaps i can get someone to burn a copy of the CD to send/give to Nic.

Hey that video is pretty rad dude! I dont know how to put that into the upcoming CD, but its worth considering in the record making process.
Joe i wonder if my attempt to send the music through the telephone was successful? Perhaps if you can identify the tracks in question, you could send soundfiles of the ones you approve to Nic? The CD in question (in my possession) doesnt let me remove tracks from it....some weird copy protection your office must have devised.

Latest new stuff with Pat Panang stuff from phone message I hope to have up online by monday at 1pm. Sorry, I'm in the deep shit part of the semester. I did a demo of some of the new chords on piano at crazy daves, I'll try to do some bass/banjo demo stuff with Jess this weekend. On a side note I've finished some tracking on my hit single "Infidel"
updates monday, stay tuned...

Josh and Isabelle just got back from europe. Tom said he'd get me a copy of his new song soon... that was in 2000. I see you are a good match to be his manager...

Hey joe, dont even sweat it. School is a domineering master as i well know. I wouldnt have ever committed to a project like this when i was in school...too much stress. I admire you just for undertaking it.
So i take it that the 5 (6?) tracks were listenable/identifiable over the phone. THis is good because i really think that 3 or 4 of these could be reworked into some core elements of Bare Bones. Reworked versions of these songs would lend a REALLY good starting point for mental reference.
From there, we could move toward some plunky bass and banjo heavenly simplicity. Caleb and Josh will know what to do from there, and viola!
Also Jess should "for sure" guest star on a track or two. Some freaky violin...perhaps midway through the album, a crazed dance in the forest between Banjo Jones and Bare Bones?
Also consider possibilities of adding some theremin for spooky forest effects (perhaps in the intro or exit of album....going along with the theme of the skeleton man and a haunted forest encounter)...give some otherworldly effect into it..

Yeah i've been planning on sampling from chris' therimin solo at chuck's '03. I have to finish up cat canang hopefully tonight/tommorow and I started work on my late december album post haste with the hit single infidel: I'm an infidel! I don't make my wife cover up her pretty face, I'm an infidel! I don't belive a bearded guy controls me from outerspace! I'm an infidel! I eat bacon once in awhile, I'm an infidel! I think its ok to smile! The only good fanatic is the philly fanatic! Outspoken religious nuts are certainly pedantic! I'm an infidel! I'm teaching my daughter to read!

Just really quick, I wanted to let you all know that I am about to realease the first "completed" song off of my new album.
The song is "You're Breaking My Heart", originally by Otis Rush.
I layed down all of the tracks (bass, rythm guitar, lead guitar, vocal track and drums. It the begining of something real good.
I must have given the lead track 8 takes before I was remotely satisfied (I still want better). I keep saying to myself...let me try it again from the top, I can do it better! Tell me guys, is this train of thought progressive or simply an obsessive illness? I think it's good.
Anyway, I have got something that I am ready for the public to hear.
What websites do you recommend for uploading my music for anyone to hear? I have a new account (that I have not used yet and no little about) with eSnips. Will this be of good use for me?

www.archive.org/details/Paul_Mohabdin_TestAs we were approaching the first degicank fest I was using every available tool. After the successful degicankfest I planned to let go and record an album using just bass, guitar, bells, and a plastic tube. A few days after the fest I went to work. I started and was on the second or third layer when Bill and Perry got home and helped me continue the recording pro

I've seen a lot of mean posts lately. Someone must have asked James for rent, we've seen this pattern before. James come forward if you are innocent!

What R U?
Mean posts make the world go round. If you're nice all the time you'll end up getting shot like the pope did. Or worse; they'll put you on NPR
