Hey there,
I'm not sure what the story is here, but as you can see on the lineup page on Sat. night, The Nightcrawlers are playing from 10-11:30 (as was planned) and we have been advertising it that way for quite some time. So I'm hoping you guys already found another good time slot. There will be many upset fans if we do not appear in our allotted slot.

But Aaron our keys player will be there tommorow night to support our boys Doodis and to meet some you all. We are currently working on a new lineup and who knows we may be back with a vengence for next year.

noah - that guy might be fooling around about Jeff Curtis.
Also, I'm not sure the schedule has ever gone off perfectly and I would assume things will be delayed this year too. We're going in with the realization that "2:00 Dr. Naqleus" could really turn out to be "3:00 Dr. Naqleus."
Don't worry though, we're on your side for getting at least the amount of time you've been alotted.
Looking forward to hearing you guys out there! We've done a whole lot to improve the sound system out there.
Peace!

Thanks for the reply drkoester, yeah reading over that post again, it does seem kinda rediculous. Scheduals running late is not a big deal. We're in no rush. See you tommorow....well....I guess later today.

does anybody know the musician who played old-time ragtimey stuff on the nylon string guitar? i remember he played "i wanna be like you" from the jungle book. it was saturday evening, possibly on the TBA slot at 6:30. also, does this guy perform in the area?
and finally - does dr. naqleus perform in the state college area regularly?
thanks! it was my first time at chuck's farm, and it was marvelous!

It was a total embarassment and lack of respect shown to LuvClam by not letting us play. We were advertised as playing and even if it was later in the morning than scheduled we still should have been allowed to play.

Quick reply to bubba and Tommy:
Bubba, I would not classify what you expreienced as lack of respect. On behalf of the sound crew handling any and all electrified productions experienced at chucks farm, I would classify what you experienced as something neccesary in order to ensure my and my partner's health, both physically and mentally. Sleep deprivation, CONSTANT TROUBLE SHOOTING, Loading in, wiring up and mixing a great number of bands(we lost count and really never knew to start)while loading the previous one out is a task I challenge anyone to undertake for two days straight. I felt a quite tired come sunrise sunday morning having been up for about 18hrs that day doing mental and physical labor. The late night act fri/sat morning somehow blew a tweeter in on of the PA stacks to our dismay and suprise (kudos to that individual...I've taken those 2 peavey stacks to the edge at my personal house parties...I know thats a tough thing to do) I was actually up untill 4:30 pm sunday, being that it took from when Dr Naqleus ended untill 2 pm sun to breakdown the 5000watt+ System composed of 2 double-stacked 18in Woofer boxes, 2 Peavey 2P4G's, dual monitor systems, lights and peripheral cording associated with a such a system. By the time we got you all set up and mixed in I can almost gaurentee that many people would have gone to sleep and I would have been quite disgruntled. I do from place inside me that run deep sympathize with your your posted feelings, however I try not to do things I am passinate about when i am in serious need of meeting my own personal needs, being that it renders me unfocused and agigtated. I will indeed make it up to you and I will speak with chuck and assure you a spot starting early that 420 or sunrise at next years party.
Tommy- I have spoken with both Eli Charelston and Luvclam about playing a show at the center for sustainability harvest fest tenetavily set for oct 2 at penn state. I organize the parties there and throw it down ALOT like It gets thrown down at chucks minus a few elements due to my not owning the land. It is an outdoor show. For more info regarding anything stated above or other questions I am avail after 9pm anyday of the week @ 814 883 8800 ~SoundBandit Dave -Looking Forward-

What a great freakin weekend...if only it wasn't interupted by a work shift from 11-8pm on Saturday....
Anyways, Dave and Phil went far above and beyond the call of duty and IMHO were the most critical actors over the entire weekend. Just so all of you know, they were the sound guys fully responsible for transporting all sound gear, setting it up, mic'ing all bands, soundchecking all bands, striking everything when it was all said and done, and taking every component back to State College. Please also realize that there has never been nearly this much effort or success in running sound at Chuck's. The monitor set-up this year was about as powerful as the house PA last year! Mad props boys!
tommy -- Dr. Naqleus has played many many times in SC over the past two years and sorry to say our last performance as a band will be tomorrow (Tuesday 9/20) at the Crowbar with our friends from Pittsburgh, Jazzam and the Boogie Hustlers. So come on out and see it -- only $5 and all ages!
noah -- grrrreat set man!!

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who made this years Chuck's this best I've ever experienced. Dave and friend; amazing job on the sound system. You guys did so well with all the problems and no sleep. All the bands;you guys played your asses off and kept the crowd moving. Chirs; you really stepped it up. Things were so organized and the schedule was right on. Everyone who came; one of the best crowds we have ever been lucky enough to play in front of. And of course Chuck: You make the whole thing possible. Chuck's farm has a special place inside everyone who has ever been fortunate enough to see it.
New great memory this year: Tom K. Walking out 20 feet and passing out in front of the stage after a rediculus Naq set!!

Dave
I realize the situation and I wasnt trying to blame anyone or piss anybody off. We were very excited to play Chucks and had been looking forward to it for a while. We still had a great time and all the bands sounded awesome. No hard feelings.
