Does anyone here know what the status of Chuck's Farm after the big party is?
Do we need to head out for a clean-up work-party now? It would certainly be easier to pick up all the bottles and cans now before the weeds grow back up and hide all of them!
Also, <guy with stick and bag>, could you drop me a private email. My email address is dr_suitcase@hotmail.com
I'm looking for Mel's contact info. My last phone number are now a fax machine.
Thanks
Dr. Suitcase

Really?
Another party out at Chuck's Farm this weekend?
Well, I don't think I can make it, but please treat the kitchen with love and respect (clean what you dirty, leave pots upside down so they don't collect detritus and rust, be nice to the tables and chairs, etc).
I encourage folks to use the trash bags that are out there and pick up the trash left from the big Chuckstock!
Give Chuck a hand cleaning up, and he is much more likely to invite us all back!

So, I was wondering how the latest festival at Chuck's (last weekend, wasn't it?) went!
Sorry I didn't make it, this time.
How many folks made it out? Did the kitchen get used?
I hope too many of you didn't freeze your asses off, when the temp dipped down into the 20s!

There was no chucks. I went out friday evening and it was like ten people standing there going "What the f*ck?" I knew it was too good to be true. Anyway Dr. Suitcase chucks is a complete mess. I went out saturday morning by myself and picked up about 2 and a half 55 gallon trash bags worth of garbage. Its much too massive of a task for one person. Before it gets too cold we should assemble a crew and go clean that place up.
Your kitchen was about how it was left...Kind of a mess. Nothing was trashed but your potatoes were still left in the pot turning into a bit of a vodka beer haha. I dumped everything out and turned all the pots and pans upside down.
Rave pit was suprisingly well cleaned. Some trash bags down there but at least it WAS bagged up.

Thanks for checking on the kitchen, and getting things dumped out and set upside down. I'm surprised the folks that took over for Sat night didn't use the potatoes. Oh, well. They were free to me anyway.
As for putting together a crew to clean up . . . I might be able to go out this weekend (but I hadn't planned on it), but after that I'm booked up until Nov 15th.
I'm hesitant to go out and try and clean up by myself, too. Drop me a line at dr_suitcase@hotmail.com if you want to organize a cleanup party.
Do we need more trash bags? If you can get to Otto's Brew Pub during weekday daylight, talk to the store manager. They will probably be willing to give you any empty grain bags they have avaliable, and those make great sturdy trash bags, and can even handle broken glass without ripping.
Blessed Be

I will be out cleaning again this weekend and it sure would be nice if somebody (Dr Suitcase) would come help me this time. Not that the "free" food you cook is unappreciated, but it would be nice if you would lend a hand in the cleanup. For as much time as you spend in dumpsters, you could at least carry some f***ing trash out.

Sorry, my alternative friend
I won't be able to make it out this weekend. I have other responsibilities that preclude my driving out.
I did haul out all the trash that had accumulated in the kitchen (two big bags) by the time I left Sat afternoon of Chuckstock.
If everyone else had taken home as much, there wouldn't be any trash at Chucks at all.
I'm glad you appreciated the free food. It was a pleasure to cook it up for all of you.

Hey guys,
I attended Chucks Farm this year, (Christ it's been awhile) and to make a long story short, had a really good time. I found this board obviously via the internet, and after reading this post, I'd like to volunteer some time to clean up on a weekend if possible. I know I can wrangle up a couple kids to help me out too. So next time there is an organized trip, drop me a line at steven_juice@yahoo.com and I'd be happy to help out.
Sorry to read about those potatos too, that curry-style stew hit the spot that night!
