Testing. Uno yahoogroups is about to be nuked and considering all alternatives. Sadly, im searching for a solution that isnt Topic based, but rather, more like a listserv where every single message is its own "topic", i.e. its not grouped by topics. Also needs to have daily digest option for emailing the latest updates to whomever subscribes. Neat that this board is still around, and tempting, but I dont like topics grouped in this way. Want a more linear conversation-style experience.

I didnt even know this much drama could exist beyond the confines of my favorite episodes of Six Feet Under.
I didnt even know this thread existed until now!
James, from what i read here, you make Lou look like rainbow bright. He was the red9s semi-official troll for quite a while. But the interesting thing is that a number of "uno" people call you Hippie James. I think it is because you like molly and have drug hair.
Nobody worry about the taexes thing. My uncle runs the big office and could squelch issues that arise. However he is a very law-abiding sort, so he might not look kindly upon people who like molly. Which means YOU

interesting. I have heard a lot of folks talking about peakvid.com (something like that anyway) which is an archival service of streaming tv. I havent used it but heard its pretty cool. Since i dont really watch any tv (not bragging, just a fact) i dont think id be a good candidate for beta testing of joost.
I wonder if the cable companies are worried. For big boys like Comcast, i guess this is business as usual since they provide internet and tv. Convergence baby...

I told vortman that i will commit to being your sidewalk barker from approximately 7 PM until finish. I have a resume that includes such kinds of work in the past (royce and i were the official barkers for the Happy Lincoln) so perhaps i can generate some interest.
Offficial contractual issue: I will not work in rain or wet snow. My pretty hair will become sodden!
What are we doing afterwords? Zonk? Show? Etc?

Hey i wanted to post in the DV zone and give shouts to the vegas tattoo shop that got set up in Caleb's house last weekend. I hear some folks went to work the next day with their graphics still intact.

Ha ha! I wish there was some pictures of James and Pat having a fight. I must have been 'not there' for that part.
Another thing I wanted to say was that the people who made the parade (rasta glowsticks, costumes, etc) were super great. I really liked that idea and think maybe it would be great if we could do something like this next year.

thanks for everything, everyone. It was a really good time. Its a shame that many of the degicank and uno people were "degi-cant" and "u-no" for a trip to the farm this year, however i still had a lot of fun, especially during the p22 show. That was the freakin heady, as they say. Very well rendered and i think it really surprised some of the newcomers who hadnt seen the band before. Albeit the 330 AM-830 AM timeslot was a little weak for turnout...i think a lot of people were eaten alive by the cold. I know I almost succumbed a few times but kept thinking how sweet it would be. FISHLIPS!!!!
Thanks to tDS and all the other friends as well. I had a good time and am very very tired now because i only slept a tiny bit today and none last night, join the crowd, right? Well at least James got a good nights rest.

Hey the birthday cds are so awesome i made Tara listen to them 3x. She was like, "I can hardly believe thats the same caleb i know". And i was all like, "are you even listening to josh and eli". And she said, "Its a good cd but can we listen to something else tomorrow, we've heard it like 5 times now". And i said, "get ready for chuck's fram, bay-b"

PS. I grin everytime i read about someone not liking planet 22. Ive been lucky enough to ride the rise-of-fame of two big acts who now are mad-rich off music that people hated, and on the way up, the most consistant thing ive noticed about great art is that there are always people hating and saying that it sounds boring or dumb or not enough vocals etc.
Ha ha on you foolish mortals!
Here is my thought: --less vocals --more straightjacket --chaos --patience --synchopation (sp) --ambiance --chuckaluck --everyone remembering: --a good attitude --an angry gameface --josh gwinn with his head bowed over the drumkit --a motorcycle jumping over a fire --giant interstellar transmissions --i lost my flashlight too, some schwill girl stole it --art for arts sake --everyone in the whole universe loves planet 22 more than their own mother!!
