-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Why the hell does planet 22 even get a slot at chuck's?
Chucks will be chucks and half the bands will blow and the other half won't get to play because of egomaniacs like joe speers."

I posted this over at the guestbook site Joe establised, but b/c its actually something i thought might be worth "saying", i am cross-posting it to this board.
Hey there, I was listening to a phenomenal show tonight, at least several sections of it were very good, namely, the opening section. It was the Avant Garde performance via radio broadcast. The inspiring thing about this show was the early section in which the band did some very tempered, Miles-Davisish stuff, gradually segueing into some songs. I think the most important thing to do would be to take the TIME to pass through vibes and grooves, rather than concentrating on a tight setlist. Worrying about timelines is only going to make the performance sound stilted, which is what i kind of worry about when i see such an extensive setlist on the table. Joe, if i had anythign to offer, it might be to make sure there is a coherent setlist suggestion on the table, but not to necessarily adhere to it. Plus have some talk with the captain before the show perhaps....I think more fans/potential converts will be most pleased with an organic-sounding performance of texture and space....or maybe im just being selfish. Also, I vote for sooperbootiejam and/or bootiedoya to be on the setlist along with straightjacket teases, something like: bootiedoya-->straightjacket/a nasty muffinjugs-->superbootie
I personally think P22 should get a slot from 11PM through 5 AM because you/they have the greatest body and breadth of work, not to mention the most interesting approach. I am sorry to see only a 2 hour slot alotted for the best band to play the fest, but its all good, im sure the captain and i can go get lost in a field later on. And no matter what, at harvest fest you guys are SATURDAY from 12->4 AM for sure. Chris make it happen, end of story.
As far as comments regarding tDS playing every chucks mini-fest, well, why the hell not? Chris is doing a lot of organizing to get this stuff flowing, and therefore deserves to have tDS play if he so chooses. Same with P22. Haters need to get some edumacatin.

Hooray for you guys = technologically advanced. I am still trying to find people who have the tapes of Double Deuce (aka uno birthday #2). That party took place in or around 1999 so i am a bit behind as you can see.
It was the sickness. I am all the way up in toronto canada, and the sonorous sounds of tDS and p22 are still resonating in my head.

BTW, i have a few photos and videos but i dont have a handy way to get them from my phone (bluetooth) onto the computer. Hopefully within a few weeks i will be able to send them.
I hope the videos shot with your (Joe) camera came out well. I did my best to hold it steady and zoom in on the sexiest members of the band. Brendon helped a bit as well. Lou wanted to help but i am a firm believer in 'everyone has their own little way to contribute', and his was to be schwilled and not film. He may be in some of the shots however.

No files to download just a bunch of garbage about paying for the site and poaying uploaders of popular files
and lots of shit like this:
We are glad to implement a new policy, which improves our service quality for the majority of our users: Lately, huge files of very few users were swamping our servers and lines, disturbing the downloads of most users sending normal sized files. Now we are making it fairer by reducing the maximum free file size from 500 MB to 250 MB and leveraging a nominal fee to become a premium member and being able to transfer files of more than 250 MB. This gives most users better performance and faster downloads, while still allowing a few power users to exchange huge files at a megacheap flatrate.
Our new premium membership also allows professional users with less time to transfer files quicker, while home users - having more time and often downloading files all night long - can still enjoy ourfree service.
We hope that you will understand and support our new policy, which is in the interest of the vast majority of Megaupload users.
Today we are also introducing our ground breaking Uploader Rewards. Our new reward program pays money and cash prizes to our uploaders. This makes Megaupload the first and only site on the Internet paying you for hosting your files. The more popular your files, the more you make. Shareware developers, webmasters and file traders: You can now utilize Megaupload to reduce your hosting costs and increase your revenues. Our new, bigger and faster server park is ready for you.
Sincerely, Your Megaupload Team To upload a file just follow these simple steps:
Select a file to send by clicking the "Browse" button. You can then select photos, audio, video, documents or anything else you want to send. The maximum file size is 250 MB. You may choose who you want to send a file to. If you just want to get the link to your file stored on our server, leave the optional fields blank. Click the "Send" button to start uploading the file. You will see the progress of the file transfer. Please don't close your browser window while uploading or it will cancel the upload. If you entered an optional recipient e-mail address, they will be sent the link of the file. They can then simply click the link to your file to download it. If you entered optionally your e-mail address, you will be sent the link and delete-link to your file stored on our server. You can share it for example on forums, websites, messengers, etc.
Premium features:
If you would like to mail your file to more than one recipient (up to 1000!), you may enter multiple e-mail addresses seperated by comma or semicolon. You may choose if you want to protect your file with a password. Only you and the recipient will receive the password by e-mail. Noone can access your file without the password. Instead of uploading a file from your local harddrive, you may enter a valid HTTP or FTP link. We will then fetch the file to Megaupload and provide you with a download link.
