I am good for the weekend of the 24th if Nic is...this will be really interesting for me because I am leaving the country the next weekend (april 1) for 2 weeks and might be crunched for time, but i will do anything to make the album happen!!!!!!
It will be up to the other guys. I will try to get some idea if this date works from the others.
The practice disc will be really cool!
Re: carpel-tunnel Thanks for all the concern Joe/others...i seem to have found a solution: If you ever think you're getting carpel tunnel or repetitive motion injury in your hands, dont bother going to the doctor. Just take ibuprofin 3x a day and get a $15 glove from CVS. I got this glove, its pretty sweet, like fingerless and everything, and it cures the C-P problem. dont even quite understand why--it doesnt really change much in terms of my hand and how i type. But the hands aint hurtin as much and i recommend this treatment rather than going to the doctor to have him tell you, "Go to CVS and buy the carpel-tunnel glove". Because even with insurance, a trip to DR. costs $25 copay, plus the cost of the fancy fingerless glove and ibuprofin.

Now I know this doesn't belong here but I insist everyone at least try to find the video of this somehow. It is unbelievable; even by James' standards this is down right off the effing hook.
Friday March 2nd, during some sort of gathering of americans young republicans, Ann Coulter called democratic canidate for party nominee for president of the USA a "fag got" Yes that is exactly what she said. cameras rolling and all.
I almost died laughing that someone so far right would resort to name calling. here is the exact quote in which it occured. the quote is as unbelievable as the slander!!!!
It turns out you have to go into rehab if you use the word 'faggot,' so I'm kind of at an impasse -- I can't really talk about Edwards
She was speaking of john edwards
"Rehab" may have been a reference to "Grey's Anatomy" star Isaiah Washington's decision to go into rehab during a public relations firestorm after he called one of his co-stars a "faggot." Coulter has previously suggested that other prominent Democrats are gay -- including former Vice President Al Gore, former President Bill Clinton and Sen. Hillary Clinton,

I think we had enough laws about the turn-of-the-century. We don't need any more
That would mean no scheduling of narcotics (harrison tax act of 1914)

Joe I received the CD and the letter, thank you very much. I am in process of reviewing the CD and will forward comments.
As far as updates, I think less is more, in terms of the paper mailings and your time devotion. At this point, school and family consume much of your time, so dont overcommit resources unless others feel differently. Just my thoughts.
Also, Nic has confirmed that he is available for next weekend. I am waiting on Caleb to determine if he is free (step 2) and then Josh is last (Josh if you are reading; are you free for VT?). I texted Caleb about the matter a few days ago; he said it "could be hard" but he did not conclude either way. Will keep the pressure on for a resolution one way or another. Am trying to get in touch with him today.

Joe,
So far my schedule is pretty free Thurs. I was looking at going to a Seminar on "Food Preservation" from 8am to 1pm in Malvern PA.
****Whooa....hold the phone, just got a call on the hotline that I have to meet my Grandparents for dinner in AC Thursday Night. ..***
You should check in with K-Bear to see if he has anything lined up.
Dr. Cank and I may have found something for Sunday night. Is that doable for you?
What is our schedule for recording? I can travel over the weekend, do I need to take Friday off...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_characters_in_the_Banjo-Kazooie_series********************************************* Well Thom Blanks already finished his track...you can use it or not, but as his legal advisor, Thom holds sole ownership of said track and does not agree to any tweaking of said track. That, as they say would be wack...he can just take his music elsewhere if it is not well recieved. I don't see anyone else in DegIcanK going on a Europe tour anytime soon....oh, wait. I am still waiting on Caleb to confirm if he can travel. Nic told me that he is ok for the trip. Joe, can you post the exact address so that I can prepare mapquest?
Again, emphasize that I cant guarentee 100% that we are coming...Josh, ask your Brah if he is off work and call me/txt me if it is ok! I asked him last night and he said it might work out but he had to check work to see if coverage was available. Your turn!
Next factor: driving: I am all good to take my car, however one thought, with 4 people it will be SUPER low-gear style, im talking only a small backpack per person, and it might have to sit in your lap some of the time. My Yaris is tiny (http://tinyurl.com/33jw9m) and will confortably seat 4, with almost no gear. This might have the impact on sleeping bag arangements, Joe, what about pillows for our heads? If anyone else wants to take 2nd car, this is ok by me, but not necessary. One thought: DRUMS for josh? Do we need to bring them?
As far as the CD that Joe mailed out---i think its well understood, but this is a really rough draft concept. I like all of the tracks in question but would drop any of them if others felt it was necessary. I think the rough draft came from "we need to get some concepts in line". A big emphasis in the studio is on a thick, heavy, spacious bass with some loose and ready banjo. Gwinns will work their magic because they play with the correct amount of ego/non.
Anyway all of you are musical geniuses, so i think it will come out just A-O-SUPER-K!!!!!!!
I am psyched as well. I look forward to selling this CD at summertime concerts (with the occasional help of others).

Joe,
I recieved the "Ben DuBois" edition in the mail. I've really enjoyed listening to those tracks again. The memory was so vivid at times I could even recall the smell of Runto's contribution to the music room.
We've just made it through the wringer over here. Gabriel came down with a bad case of Salmonella that almost ended him. 14 days, in and out of the hospital. Finally rolled the dice with some antibiotics that could of made it worse or could have knocked it out. Luckily it knocked it out and we are nursing the boy back onto his feet.
The Department of Health has barred me from work because of my son's condition. Seems I could have passed it onto some of the 1500 people I make food for M - F.
My wife and I caught short and nasty bouts of it during the duration but nothing like the boy had. Like I said, it reached a point where things were in question.
We are now just quietly enjoying our lockdown the Department of Health gave us. Steady rolling through a Winnie the Pooh and Thomas the Train Engine Marathon.
Peace and Blessings,
Ben

Yo Ben, send me your # via degicank@gmail.com...
We're very happy everthing is ok. I was sick as I thought you get for 23 hours early feb, I guess it doesn't compare...
What is your next step? My chemistry teacher swore that you shouldn't eat organic because of salmanella. She said the chemical fertilizor is the pure substance(nitrogen/phosphorus I guess). I heard 1 in 3 eggs can carry the disease. Are you sure it wasn't from Ralph's Oragnic Omega three Free range eggs?
We are very thankful you made it through another tunnel, now keep your head straight! Love is reality, wife and baby(s)!!!
